Sedona Film Festival presents ‘Notice to Quit’ premiere Oct. 25-31

Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premiere of “Notice to Quit” showing Oct. 25-31 at the Alice Gill-Sheldon and Mary D. Fisher Theatres.

The feature directorial debut of Simon Hacker, “Notice to Quit” is a heartfelt comedy-drama that features Michael Zegen (known for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) in his first leading role and features an unforgettable performance by comedic legend Robert Klein.

Zegen stars as Andy Singer, a resilient yet struggling New York City rental agent ironically caught in the midst of his own eviction crisis. As his world begins crashing down around him, his estranged 10-year-old daughter, Anna (played by newcomer Kasey Bella Suarez), appears unannounced on his doorstep just as he’s being thrown out of his apartment.

Shot across all five boroughs of the city, “Notice to Quit” unfolds as a poignant comedy of misadventures amidst the oppressive heat of a single summer day. Hacker’s film captures the relentless hustle of New York City life as Andy, a modern-day Sisyphus, races against time to save his home and rebuild his fractured relationship with Anna as his get-rich-quick schemes and threadbare employment are thrown into a tenuous high gear.

Isabel Arraiza, Eric Berryman, and Michael Angelo Covino also star in this exploration of family dynamics, redemption, and survival amidst the chaos of urban life.

“Notice to Quit” will be shown at the Alice Gill-Sheldon and Mary D. Fisher Theatres Oct. 25-31. Showtimes will be Friday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 25, 27, 28 and 29 at 6:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 3:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Oct. 31 at 3:30 and 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12 general admission, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
